Ceramic Lined Mixed Flow Desulfurization Pumps:


A SiC lined desulfurization pump is also called ceramic lined mixed flow FGD pump. It adopts the structure of the horizontal mixed-flow pump, has the advantages of large flow rate, medium head, wide efficient area, simple structure, lined with high strength and high hardness silicon carbide ceramic lining, more suitable for conveying corrosive medium containing hard particles, which is the most ideal desulfurization pump. Based on the high efficiency hydraulic model of metal pump, coupled with the strong wear resistance and corrosion resistance of non-pressure sintered silicon carbide, so that the service life of a desulfurization pump is greatly extended.

Ceramic lined recirculation desulphurization pumps own features of high efficiency, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and impact resistance. The flow parts are made of metal skeleton lined with silicon carbide composite ceramic material, which has strong corrosion resistance and can withstand any environment with PH value 1 ~ 14. Silicon carbide material has extremely high hardness, strong flexibility and crack resistance. Adopting the structure of horizontal mixed flow pump, with large flow rate, middling head, high efficiency, simple structure, silicon carbide ceramic lined desulfurization pump is suitable for conveying corrosive medium containing particles. It is widely used as desulfurization pumps in wet flue gas desulfurization process.

The ceramic lined desulfurization pump has the advantages of high strength, high hardness, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Ceramic desulphurization pump is a mixed-flow centrifugal pump with metal shell and ceramic lining. The impeller of the pump is a metal skeleton and the outer layer is covered with ceramic.

1. Wear-resisting plate:     the outer shell of the wear-resisting plate is made of high-strength ductile cast iron, and the inner flow parts are all silicon carbide ceramic composite materials. Silicon carbide surface finish is high. It effectively reduces the backflow loss at the front cover of the impeller, and adopts the sealing method of radial and axial static sealing combination between the wear-resistant plate and the pump body;

2. Front cover:     it is not in contact with the medium, so the metal structure is used;

3. Pump body:   the outer shell of the pump body is made of high-strength ductile cast iron, and the inner flow parts are all silicon carbide ceramic composite materials. Silicon carbide surface finish is high, and pumps have high hydraulic efficiency high;

4.  Impeller:   the impeller consists of a metal impeller skeleton + silicon carbide ceramic composite material. The overall rigidity of the composite impeller is strong, and it can withstand the impact and erosion of solid particles. The hydraulic model of the impeller is good, the surface of the blade is smooth, and the hydraulic efficiency of the impeller is high;

5. Rear pump cover:   the outer shell of the rear pump cover is made of high-strength ductile cast iron, and the inner flow parts are all silicon carbide ceramic composite materials. Silicon carbide surface finish is high. It effectively reduces the hydraulic loss at the back plate of the impeller;

6. Mechanical seal:   cartridge double mechanical seal, easy maintenance, reliable sealing performance;
7. Shaft:  thickened heavy duty shaft, carbon steel, duplex stainless stee 2205, 3Cr13, 40Cr, 42CrMo is optional;
8. Bearing pedestal:   large space bearing box and oil tank, improve the overall rigidity of the pump, reduce the temperature rise of lubrication oil, extend service life of bearing.
 

The combination of metal skeleton and silicon carbide ceramic composite materials adopts a special design method, which is to make the combination of metal and lining part stronger, and the minimum thickness of the lining part reaches 15mm, in order to achieve excellent performance of impact resistance and abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance.

The design feature of ceramic lined desulfurization pump is: based on the high efficiency hydraulic model of metal horizontal mixed flow pump, combined with ceramic-metal composite manufacturing technology, manufacture a high-efficiency desulphurization pump with corrosion resistance and wear resistance. The flow parts of the ceramic lined mixed flow pump, including the inner surface of the pump housing, the inner surface of the pump cover, and the impeller, are lined with silicon carbide ceramics. The ceramic material is a special ingredient and process of non-pressure sintered silicon carbide, which ensures that the metal shell and the ceramic lining are integrated, and the lifetime of the ceramic lined desulfurization pump is long. The silicon carbide lining manufactured by vacuum process is tightly combined with the metal skeleton and the pump operates smoothly for a long time.

  1. The flow parts are all lined corrosion-resistant and abrasion-resistant silicon carbide ceramic materials.

  2. The lining process adopts a new silicon carbide ceramic vacuum casting technology, the metal skeleton and composite materials have strong bonding force, and have a certain impact resistance.

  3. The impeller and wear plate are vacuum cast by silicon carbide ceramic which have actual working life more than 60000 hours, and the overall lifetime of ceramic circulating desulfurization pump is as high as 100,000 hours.

  4. The impeller consists of a metal impeller skeleton + silicon carbide ceramic composite material. It not only meets the requirements of wear resistance and corrosion resistance, but also ensures that the connection with the drive shaft is firm and reliable.

  5. The horizontal mixed-flow ceramic recirculation pump adopts the pull back structure, which is convenient for the disassembly and assembly of the impeller, mechanical seal and shaft, and does not need to disassemble the import and export pipeline of the pump.

  6. The impeller could be adjusted axially to adjust the best position in the pump chamber to ensure that the operation of the pump is always in an efficient and stable state.


Experts in Silicon Carbide materials
We are experienced with the handling of limestone slurry and gypsum mixtures. Thanks to silicon carbide / SiC ceramic composite materials developed, our ceramic lined desulfurization pumps own excellent corrosion and wear resistance. Silicon carbide is sintered in liquid phase. The relative density of SiC ceramics sintered in liquid phase increases from 98% to 99% and is almost completely dense. The strength of the material is increased from 600MPa to 707MPa, and the fracture toughness is increased from 8.1 MPa.m1/2 to 10.7 MPa.m1/2. Non-pressure liquid phase sintering of SiC ceramics is especially suitable for use in high performance requirements. Silicon carbide could withstand abrasion of particles with higher density, which could thoroughly solve the abrasion problem of solid-liquid two-phase flow mixed desulphurization pump.

 

The liner of flow parts are all made from corrosion-resistant and high-abrasive silicon carbide ceramic materials. The ceramic parts using vacuum casting process have characteristics of extremely high hardness, strong flexibility, crack resistance, strong wear resistance, chemical resistance, strong oxidation resistance, and small thermal expansion coefficient.
 

The material of the volute, impeller and front and rear plate of the pump is divided into two categories: condensation curing ceramics and high temperature sintering engineering ceramics. (silicon carbide /Sic, alumina /Al2O3, zirconia /ZrO2 and silicon nitride /Si3N4).
 

Pump body: the pump shell is made from high strength ductile cast iron, and liner of flow parts is silicon carbide ceramic composite material;
 

Impeller: the metal impeller skeleton + silicon carbide ceramic composite material;
 

Pump gland: the parts that are not in contact with the medium are made from metal, and the material can be selected, : cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, SS304/SS316/SS316L, duplex stainless steel, CD4MCu, 2205, 2507, etc.;
 

Rear pump cover:  the outer of the pump cover is made from cast iron or carbon steel, and liner of flow parts is silicon carbide ceramic composite material;
